Beach Babes
We went beach hopping today! Alex likes skim boarding and does it every time we go out.. which is great since I like to swim forever and ever. We often get to swim with a few small schools of fish but there was some crazy breeding/feeding party today. I couldn't get a picture to come out clear but there were HUNDREDS.

Finished Bench
In THIS post, I showed a project I did repainting a bench to look like this :
I finished the backing the weekend after that.
I painted the wood that holds the pads on because you could see the wood peeking through the black pads. No bueno.
Helpful husband <3
Here it is all finished!

Tiny tables
So, I have these two little tables that had been on my to-do list for a while. It was march and we were about to move. Even though I didn't know the tornado of issues that was coming my way, I still assumed I would be too busy to want to get crafty with two old little tables so I decided to get them done in the week before we left..
I just did a quick and sloppy sand down and removed that awful knob. (I could have revamped it too.. maybe a bold color or gold.. but I had a good one on hand)
2 coats of the paint and a spray gloss coat on top (not shown but I used the cheap stuff)and voila!
Let's start with this one. I got this table for free when a woman that lived next to my parents moved out and left a lifetime's supply of crap out front. (also snagged a metal plant stand ;)

I got this table for $10 at a giant flea market a few years ago. It had a broken leg which Alex fixed and needed some love but this one pretty much went through the same process..
I painted it blue and did the feet in the khaki color I used for the last table.
And here they are in all their present day glory!
Hello again.
SO MUCH has happened. We moved into a house that needed MAJOR plumbing work. But after a whirlwind of floods and contractors and issues and anxieties we're in the home stretch. We finished tiling the bathrooms and we're about a half day away from finishing all the wood flooring for the living and dining rooms.
During some of the major surgeries to the house, Alex and I stayed in a hotel for 7 nights. We brought our dogs and took advantage of the hot tub, trying to make the best out of it. As usual, I took a million pictures of our dogs and barely got anything good but lets start the ball rolling by having a picture post, shall we?
There was a candy machine in the lobby and we had a ton of change so I ate about a dozen candy bars that week too.
Taking time away from this blog wasn't really a choice so much as a side effect of life being crazy but I have a few projects to post and a few still in the works. :) Happy Monday to all!

Best/Worst part about staying in a hotel : Eating bad for us food for every meal |

Sometimes there was boredom. Results = sweet dance moves and notepad drawing art shows
Lots of love and pool time too
